Welcome to our Web page
We are two
students from Dearne Valley Venture,
where we are taking computer lessons; this is to show how we have progressed
from basic studies to creating our own web page. We are using Microsoft Word to
help us in our research in a project we are both interested in; we researched
the internet to create this webpage we do hope you find it useful. Our page
covers a paragraph on the survival of this rare bird.
OSPREY
The Osprey is a fish-eating
bird and is on the Amber List due to illegal killings and low breeding numbers.
At a distance it can be
mistaken for a large gull. They arrive back into this country in late March and
April leaving again in August and September,
Its main nesting area is in
Scotland but has been introduced into Cumbria and part of Wales. Can be seen at
a lot large bodies of fresh water area during spring and autumn at migration
times, they migrate to and from England and Africa.
